Brahmi Vati (or Brahmi bati) is one of the most famous Ayurvedic preparations. Brahmi Vati improves memory, increases lifespan, slows down aging, and gives strength in old age. Brahmi Vati helps to establish balance between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Also, Brahmi is considered in Ayurveda an effective remedy for restoring hearing. It is recommended to undergo a course of Brahmi intake once a year to enhance mental performance, restore memory functions, and increase lifespan.

Composition: Brahmi, Swarn Makshik, Ras Sindoor, Shankhpushpi, Gajava, Jatamansi, etc.

Indications: nervous disorders, headache, mental stress, memory loss, premature aging, hair loss, some skin diseases, nervous seizures, epilepsy, tonsillitis, sinusitis, frontitis.

Contraindications and side effects: Individual intolerance, pregnancy, lactation.

Large quantities can cause stomach upset, weakness, nausea, and dry mouth. Potentially, Brahmi can increase the production of thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid gland, so it is not recommended to take this plant in case of hyperthyroidism and should not be combined with medications affecting its function.

In case of upcoming surgery, it is recommended to stop taking any herbal preparations two weeks in advance.
