Dashmula Rasayana – is an Ayurvedic remedy used to treat cough, bronchitis, respiratory problems, asthma, colds, rhinitis, tuberculosis, hoarseness, chronic fever, anorexia, bloating, and flatulence.
Dashmula jam, rich in silicic acid salts, prevents the formation of kidney stones. Dashmula Rasayana is used both for prevention and treatment. It is recommended for diseases of the female reproductive system and during menopause, as well as in the treatment of alcoholism, liver diseases, pancreas and cardiovascular system.
Dashmula Rasayana reduces inflammation of the respiratory tract, relaxes and dilates the bronchi, making breathing easier. It also acts as an antitussive, dilating the bronchi and soothing the cough.
Dashmula Rasayana primarily affects Vata dosha. This preparation also calms and balances Kapha dosha. This formula is usually not recommended for patients with aggravated Pitta dosha.
Active ingredients:
- Bael. As it contains a specific glycoside marmelosin, it has an antiarrhythmic and tonic effect on the body. It is anti-inflammatory and antipyretic.
- Agni Manthi. Activates the function of the stomach and pancreas. It is a tonic for the body, used in treatment programs for rheumatic and polyarthritic diseases.
- Indian Oroxylum. Contains the glycoside oroxylon. It is an anesthetic, diaphoretic and anti-inflammatory agent. It is used in the treatment of rheumatic and colds.
- Gambari. Laxative, diuretic, galactagogue. Used to cure cystitis.
- Fragrant Stereospermum. Improves digestion, reduces swelling.
- Desmodium gangeticum. Antipyretic and diaphoretic, is a tonic for the body.
- Prishniparni. Is a source of tannin, prevents bleeding and strengthens blood vessel walls. It has an expectorant and antipyretic effect.
- Black nightshade. Thins phlegm, expectorant. Highly effective for bronchial asthma. Helps with bloating and intestinal colic.
- Kantakari. Initiates the production of sex hormones. Helps to cope with stagnant phenomena of the lungs and respiratory tract. Laxative and diuretic.
- Tribulus Terrestris. The most famous component of the Dashmula preparation. Fights the formation of kidney stones. It is anti-inflammatory for the genitourinary system, prevention of prostatitis. Improves sperm production and normalizes its viscosity. Improves male potency.
Indications: asthma, breathing problems, cough, bronchitis, cold, flu, persistent hiccups, sinusitis, tuberculosis, allergic rhinitis, hoarseness (hoarse voice), anorexia, bloating, chronic fever, flatulence, chest pain, rheumatoid pain, ovarian cysts, skin diseases, including allergic ones, lymphatic system disorders, staphylococcus treatment therapy, gallstone disease treatment, use in diabetes, prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Usage: half – one teaspoonful, after meals, with warm water. For children, half the specified dosage or follow the recommendations of an Ayurvedic specialist.
