Brand: Коттакал Аюрведа (Kottakal Ayurveda)

Body cleansing remedy for people with increased Vata dosha.

Not all preparations are suitable for cleansing Vata dosha. Due to the individual characteristics of this dosha, deep cleansing can be harmful to those who have it. However, sometimes cleansing is necessary, as it can lead to serious improvements in health. It helps to get rid of diseases such as flatulence, anorexia, and other digestive disorders. The preparation is well used in cleansing courses, where the patient is offered a facilitating diet, as it enhances the effect of such a course.

Gandharvahastadi Kashayam improves appetite and cleanses the intestines of toxins and slags. Most Ayurvedic preparations have a complex effect, that is, they treat not one disease, but a whole range. This preparation is no exception. It relieves various Vata dosha diseases, such as lumbago (acute lower back pain), leg pain, lumbar spondylosis, ascites (fluid accumulation in various parts of the body), or spasms. It has a mild laxative effect.

Active ingredients:

Castor oil (Oleum Ricini). Castor oil bowel cleansing is perhaps one of the best ways for thorough bowel cleansing and healing. Ayurveda calls castor oil "the lion among oils". Indian castor oil causes a sharp laxative effect and has the highest cleansing ability. After ingestion, castor oil is not digested, but, irritating the intestinal villi, causes them to contract and, as it were, "shakes out" all the deposits that are located between the cilia, on the walls of the intestine. The "cilia" of the intestine themselves are also cleansed, and they play one of the most important roles in the absorption of food, vitamins, and trace elements.

Chitrak (Plumbago zeylanica). The roots of this plant are used in Ayurvedic treatment. It helps with mental disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, parasites, edema, and hemorrhoids.

Shunti/ginger (Ginger/Zingiber officinale). Restores digestion and appetite, eliminates nausea, burns fat, cleanses from toxins and slags, gives the body protective forces.

Application: 5–10 ml before meals or on an empty stomach 1–2 times a day, or as recommended by an Ayurvedic doctor. It is recommended to take it with Himalayan rock salt or palm sugar. Side effects: in people suffering from diarrhea, it can worsen it. The drug is recommended to be taken as prescribed and under the supervision of a specialist.
