Sambar Masala is a blend of aromatic spices for seasoning vegetable dishes and broths. Its origin is India, where it is widely used, but recently it has begun to gain fans in other countries. The culinary application of Sambar Masala is quite diverse. This spice has a rather pungent taste and aroma. This is generally characteristic of "southern" spices and their mixtures.
Such a mixture can be considered the basis of a healthy and wholesome diet. Perhaps this is why it is so popular in India. The elements included in the mixture provide the human body with a mass of nutritious and very useful substances and vitamins. And this is very important in our not very ecological time.
This mixture can be added to any vegetable, meat dishes, as well as soups. It all depends on the imagination and professional skills of the cook. It will give any dish an unusual aroma and taste. In India, Sambar Masala is also added to various dietary dishes. So, there will be no harm to the body from it for sure!
In South India, this mixture is added to the pot when cooking rice, and this dish is served almost every day. Sambar is also very popular in India. This is a mixture of legumes (beans, peas, lentils, beans) cooked with any vegetables, to the cook's taste, and, of course, with the addition of Sambar Masala spice blend.
