Copper Neti Pot is intended for jala neti (nasal rinsing). In yoga, it is used daily as a means of personal hygiene and prevention of many diseases of the nasopharynx. According to Ayurveda, when rinsing the nose with salt water, the balance of kapha dosha, i.e., energy, is regulated. (Sea salt is recommended to be added to the water to prevent water absorption, which causes unpleasant sensations for beginners. With practice, you can lower the water temperature and stop adding salt).

Copper - is an excellent tonic for the liver, spleen, and lymphatic system. It is especially useful for people prone to weight gain, water retention, or lymphatic growths. Copper also helps in the treatment of anemia. To treat obesity and liver diseases, as well as spleen diseases, drink two teaspoons of water infused in copper utensils three times a day for a month.

Jala Neti (Nasal Rinse) Effects:

• Neti removes dirt and bacteria-laden mucus from the nose.
• It also clears the sinuses. This, in turn, enhances the body's natural defense against nasal infections such as hay fever, allergies, sinusitis, and other upper respiratory diseases such as sore throats, coughs, sputum production, tonsillitis, and adenoids.
• It is beneficial for diseases such as asthma and bronchitis, as it clears nasal passages of mucus and thus reduces the tendency to breathe through the mouth.
• It has a cooling and refreshing effect on the brain, diverting excess heat, and thus may be beneficial for headaches, migraines, epilepsy, mood swings, hysteria, depression, and general mental stress.
• Neti can be very helpful for eye problems. It helps to clear the tear ducts.

How to Use:

Nasal Rinse Fill the neti pot with warm, slightly salted water. Insert the spout of the pot into one nostril and position your head and the pot so that the water flows out of the other nostril.

You should breathe through your mouth while the water flows through your nasal passages. After half of the pot has been passed in one direction, change nostrils. After completion, thoroughly dry your nose. This procedure is not as difficult and inconvenient as it may seem at first. Many people are pleasantly surprised, even after the first time, how simple and effective this method is for maintaining health. After learning, the entire practice takes 3 minutes and, like showering and brushing your teeth, is easily integrated into your morning routine.

Contraindications:

• The procedure is absolutely contraindicated in chronic diseases of the paranasal sinuses;
• In chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract, jala neti can be performed with warm water;
• If a runny nose develops, nasal rinsing should be preferred to inhalation;
• It is contraindicated to be in the cold after the procedure, otherwise infectious diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses may develop.
