Trikatu, 60 tabs., Himalaya

Trikatu is one of the oldest Ayurvedic remedies. It stimulates digestion, prevents excessive gas formation in the intestines, normalizes cholesterol levels, aids in weight loss, effectively breaks down fat, and eliminates many intestinal parasites. Trikatu also increases metabolism by increasing gastric juice production, improves the absorption of various nutrients, and regulates thyroid function. It stimulates appetite when lacking. It freshens breath. Trikatu removes toxins from the digestive tract and burns Ama (toxins in the body).

Trikatu can be taken for detoxification during any diet to improve digestion, but for cleansing from Ama (toxins), it's best to consume light, warm food, whole grains, and lightly stewed vegetables. Trikatu is an excellent remedy during fasting. Take Trikatu until the tongue is completely clean of coating. All cleansing procedures are most successful during the waning moon (from full moon to new moon).

Trikatu improves skin appearance and prevents allergies. It effectively clears mucus from the upper respiratory tract (especially with high Kapha). It benefits the reproductive system, increasing sperm production in men.

Active Ingredients:

Maricha/Black Pepper (Piper nigrum). Improves gastric motility and removes excess mucus from the stomach. It has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, improves blood circulation and immunity, and helps with colic, constipation, food poisoning, and respiratory illnesses. Relieves migraines and headaches.

Pippali (Piper longum). This type of pepper, virtually unknown in the West but intensively used in Eastern medicine, is used in herbal formulations as a "conduit plant" for treating stomach ailments. Pippali has strong antiseptic action, stimulates the gastrointestinal tract, increases appetite, and enhances stomach and pancreatic secretion. Due to its content of silvatin, sitosterols, and methylpiperine, the plant eliminates biliary stasis and nausea.

Shunti/Ginger (Zingiber officinale). Restores digestion and appetite, eliminates nausea, burns fat, cleanses from toxins and slags, and boosts the body's defenses.

Usage: 1 capsule twice a day after meals.

Contraindications: Individual intolerance to the components of the preparation, pregnancy and breastfeeding, ulcers, gastritis, and high acidity. Not recommended for children under 14 years old.

Composition: Black Pepper, Pepper Pippali, Dry Ginger.
